Biography
Vijay Madisetti earned a Bachelor of Technology (Honors) degree from
the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India, in Electronics and
Electrical Communications Engineering in 1984. Following this, he came to the
University of California at Berkeley where he earned a Ph.D. in Electrical
Engineering and Computer Sciences in 1989.
Dr. Madisetti joined the ECE faculty at Georgia Tech in 1989. He leads one
of the largest research programs in the country in the area of embedded software
systems, as a research director of the State of Georgia's Yamacraw Mission.
He is also involved in the activities of the Center for Signal & Image Processing
(CSIP) and the NSF Packaging Research Center (PRC) as the leader of its Systems
on Package (SOP) thrust.
Dr. Madisetti has authored several books and works as a consultant to several
industrial and legal entities including MIT's Lincoln Laboratories. He is the
founder and chairman of VP Technologies, Inc. a Georgia ATDC company.
